7th Annual Kenton Neighborhood Garage Sale

Just because I’ve moved on from my beloved Kenton neighborhood, doesn’t mean I don’t go back there, often, for all the fun stuff that goes on! Saturday, Sept. 7th kicks off this annual event for those of us who can’t stop/won’t stop digging through others’ junk for treasures, and the number of participating homes grows year by year. That means you can park in downtown Kenton, grab a coffee and scone from Posie’s, and walk or bike around the neighborhood trawling treasures as you go (you know I love the green option). And there are roughly 100 yard sales to explore! Follow Kenton Business Association on Facebook for more details, including maps and an online app that will be made available the night before. Good luck finding that perfect vintage piece to pull together a room in your home!

Summertime Radness

Summer 2019 has been extra bountiful this year. My veggie garden has produced healthy crops of tomatoes, squash, and beets, nourishing our bodies. Our new puppy, Rupert, has brought us so much happiness and boosted our outdoor adventuring, nurturing our spirits. And I’ve matched several buyers with their perfect homes in a still-pretty-competitive market, which truly speaks to my soul. While the market traditionally starts to slow around this time of year, the opportunities are not done with quite yet. There’s still plenty of leveraging available to buyers who dream of a porch to decorate for Fall. Come to me, my pumpkin spice babies, and let’s hit the streets to find your new abode.

Housing Reparation Opportunities in NE PDX

Just in case you missed my recent Facebook post, I’m still shouting from the rooftops about an amazing reparations opportunity happening in NE PDX. 1-3 bedroom apartments will be available to rent starting at $391 per month! These apartments are being offered to N/NE residents “that have been displaced due to the harmful impacts of urban renewal”. There are income limits, sure, but you may be surprised by who can qualify (ie: you!). This could be literally life changing for people, and a step towards stability and potential home ownership someday, if more people are able to live in the communities where they work, play, etc.

Applications are now open and will be accepted through to September 16th. There’s also an in-person information event on Sept. 10th, 6-8pm, at Midland Library. Food and childcare provided. Click here to RSVP!

This type of initiative makes me feel good to be a Portland realtor. MORE OF THIS, PLEASE.

Summer Scouting & Market Report

There’s no way around it, the back-to-school sales are in full affect, which means that fall is just around the corner. Popular opinion dictates that spring and summer are the more favored times to buy and sell homes, but experience tells a different story.

Do Ya Love Me? Then Leave Me a Review!

I pride myself on making solid connections with my clients, with every house bought or sold. It’s hard not to form a bond during such a significant moment in my client’s life – we spend so much time together, we dig deep into you and your family’s needs, we experience the highs and lows of finding, and fighting, and fingers-crossing, and closing. Now that the dust has settled, I have one last thing to ask of you: share your experience in the form of a review. Reviews from my clients are crucial in sending new buyers and sellers my way. Your happy home story allows them to visualize their own, and when they see how your trust in me has paid off, they’re willing to take a chance on me, too. And you know I’ll look after them, just as I did with you. You can review me on Facebook, Zillow, or cut and paste and review me on both.
